Oyster Bay NY Turntable

Hope to post more Today at Oyster Bay NY Railroad museum it opened for 2021 AND HEY GOT THE TURNTABLE WORKING!!!!!!!

Back in 1971 in Nursey School my class took a trip to Oyster Bay station via Train LIRR While there the railroad put the loco on the turntable and spun it around like a top

Today though not as fast they got it working and I RODE ON IT

The museum has taken over the station built in the sixties and is still being remodeled BUT they have this on display

I did see the turntable in action a few weeks ago. No video though.

No turntable but a nice picnic table area behind the station.














Cute station area with a lot of promise for the future.

Next weekend July 29 30 is Riverhead museum mini flea market Will be there Can see the Lionel showroom layout and at Exit 70 NY Electric Trains
