I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Very nice Sir Chops. I see Nessie is out and about on dry land from time to time! For a second i thought there may have been a stunning crash, but no engineers asleep at the wheel or throttle! What inspired you to do European railroading?

My inspiration stems from receiving a wind up OO Wrenn set at the tender age of six, while we were living in Great Britain. I had already been fascinated by anything on rails, and this pretty much drove the spike home. My initial resurgence in model trains was intended to be British, and it was pretty tough finding anything British before the age of the internet, which broke the whole thing wide open. I had to make use of some Faller kits and a few US based British model train stores (all long since vanished). The video, below, features a reconstruction of the Wrenn set, featuring the politically incorrect Golliwog, which was a fixture of my English youth.
I also dabble in modeling Soviet Era model trains, having actually dipped behind the Iron Curtain on one of Father's peculiar ideas of a "holiday." A visit to San Quentin would have been nicer.

Dad, well, had some curious tastes in travel. Lucky we all didn't end up like Griner, and a few others.
Anyways, Tyco was always meant to be a side gig, but I got hooked when a pal gave me a Tyco Pipe Unloader as a gag gift, and then I stumbled upon the TF some years ago, and that fuse was lit.

(I messed up the end credits. The music is by an extraordinarily talented young woman by the name of Hillary Klug. She simultaneously buck dances while playing the fiddle. I am rather fond of folk music).
