Hey guys:

Can anyone tell me if this "Tank" weight is familiar. It was screwed into the center section of a really nice Tyco CN F7. The power unit is an MU-2. I was packing it to send to DaCheez and the weight was wagging back and for and when I tried to anchor it, it broke loose. I'm pretty sure a Tyco "Tank" weight can be put in, though I'm not sure what it would anchor to, as it uses two screws while the one that was in tere only used one!

Anyone got a shot of the inside weight mounts of a Tyco F7?

Thanks guys

-Gareth

Are the trucks plastic?
I have a few Tyco F7s like that.
I think they were sold in the early 70s (73-74) before the PT drives came out.
The mount was a plastic stud hanging from the roof.
I would use a glue like Walthers GOO on the top and sides of the weight to hold it in place.

Thanks for the save Ray. It looks exactly like your pics. The plastic of the stud came loose. Inside is ok, a little thin band with the stud came away. It was swinging back and forth before it fell out. Too much weight for the attachment.

...and it definitely an MU-2 power unit.
