My LOTW offering is a locomotive I've dreamed about for a long time.....and what has begun my interest in collecting older/classic HO-Scale steam locomotives.....a Pennsylvania RR K4 (4-6-2)!!! This is not just any K4, but rather Bachmann Spectrum K4 #1361! Final price = $25.
The reason I am so excited about this K4 is that is a replica of the real PRR #1361, which after serving the Pennsy, was put on display at the Horseshoe Curve, and now is being completely restored by the Railroader's Memorial Museum in Altoona, PA. I got to see this locomotive in the shed, in bits and pieces, a few years ago, upon visiting the Curve and the museum. Photo credit to Original Photographer

Great Steamer RP! I look forward to my two big steamers that are on the way. My LOTW wil lo be my Tyco B.N. Sharknose, as it hauls a freighter through the frigid mountains.

Thanks, A-A-Ron, I'll take the credit! Actually, my Great Grandfather was a Pennsy man. Before that, he was a canal boy, leading barges on the Susquehanna River, before railroads! He finished out his half century career around the mighty K-4's. Cool Shark, BTW.
I note that I have removed the name off the tender. Maybe the P&A...Pecos and Armadilloville. Good running unit by AHM.

Here’s my Tyco switcher painted in N de M colors. It has an MU Drive that I’ve added a DCC decoder. I replaced the Alnico magnet with Neo magnets. It’s a nice runner.

Chops I've had this one for a while, the Neo magnets really help out the MU motors. I did have to make a set of wipers for the insulated wheel side. I do agree most of these were not good runners, guess I got lucky.

Visited my local club for the first time in like, 3 or 4 years. Saw this guy in a display case. I am using up one of my spare boxcars to paint in this scheme. I will have to get some black decals though.
