I don't know if anyone's actually made a tool for that but I have seen people use plyers

I know mantua included a special screwdriver in their kits for it, I need to get my hands on one one of these days.

Bowser kits used to come with a screw with a head made to be turned with a 3/32" Allen wrench. That works as a socket to drive both the Bowser and Mantua crank pins.

I had the Mantua Socket but I can't find it now....
I was working on a Rivarossi Cab Forward. The Mantua Linkage Screw is smaller than the Rivarossi one.
Using Needle nose pliers is guaranteed to jazz up the screw head. I ended up using a small adjustable wrench to loosen it.

The Rivarossi crank pin heads are 3mm across the hex head faces, so you're either looking for a 3mm nut driver or a cylindrical inside socket head screw that takes a 3mm Allen type drive. That would be an M4-0.7 size screw.

For example:
https://www.menards.com/main/hardware/fasteners-connectors/screws/socket-cap-screws/midwest-fastener-reg-4mm-0-70-x-16mm-zinc-hex-drive-coarse-thread-socket-cap-screw-1-count/81663/p-1444440048757-c-8937.htm?tid=-6842997411967478037&ipos=19

A little work with a file might be needed to fit that head into smaller spaces.

Absolutely... They are about 8 miles from me. But they don't have walk-in sales.
