Bowser kits used to come with a screw with a head made to be turned with a 3/32" Allen wrench. That works as a socket to drive both the Bowser and Mantua crank pins. Carpe Manana!

I had the Mantua Socket but I can't find it now.... I was working on a Rivarossi Cab Forward. The Mantua Linkage Screw is smaller than the Rivarossi one. Using Needle nose pliers is guaranteed to jazz up the screw head. I ended up using a small adjustable wrench to loosen it.

The Rivarossi crank pin heads are 3mm across the hex head faces, so you're either looking for a 3mm nut driver or a cylindrical inside socket head screw that takes a 3mm Allen type drive. That would be an M4-0.7 size screw.
