I now own one of the rarest Tyco diesel locomotives of all time, and by far the most difficult-to-find Tyco Alco C430 locomotive ever, along with the Great Northern RR variant. Enjoy this video of it hauling freight on RETRO TYCO.

MU-2 motor, like most other Tyco's of the "Red Box Era" of the 1960's. I believe its rarity is due to a short production run and not being sold in any train sets.

It would seem, then, this Tyco piece might have been in production at
the same time Pennsy was a “thing,” doubling the mega cool factor.
