As requested by tater, here are photos of Tyco's Sharknose horn, alongside a ruler for dimension.

a few minutes work, how's the proportions look?
I took the mounting pegs and made them longer and thinner for easier installation, and eye balled the center cylinder as zooming in on pics just makes it blurrier
I think I am gonna get an injection molder for Xmas, just so I can try to mold these, but for most people a resin print should be fine, if someone with a resin printer can see if this is printable

first i need to print a few samples and have someone get a real critical eye on them, to make sure the mounting pegs are in the right spot, that they are skinny enough to fit in the holes and that any other issues are acceptable.
since I don't have a resin printer, I'm farming out the job to someone on the facebook printing group, so delays in mail, will probably get past xmas. I'll post contact info and other details when we get everything dialed in

just got done chatting with a resin guy.
he's going to print a test sample, which I'll get, then send to RP model railroads
I'll want him to be the most picky about it so we can get the print as perfect as possible. then we'll see how many are interested
looks like it'll end up being about $5 per horn unit, plus shipping if all goes well. maybe less as I discussed ways to optimize horns per print, as the cost is mostly setup and wear and tear

I'd be glad to test them. They don't call me "The Shark Master" for nothing.
