Got this off eBay, and very pleased with it. What makes it different is a NWSL low gear transmission installed
in the trucks, giving it a decently low speed at a higher RPM. Been having a lot of fun with this critter.

It's the late 1970s, and a Canadian National freight train roars through a small Manitoba Town, right as the VIA Canadian pulls into the station.

Considering my bedroom window has looked out towards a busy CN mainline for the last fifteen years, I've grown quite fond of the railway. Thus, I finally managed to obtain some Tyco Canadian National Equipment. I'll start with my Tyco CN GP20, which is in quite good condition. I look forward to finding a set of handrails for this big diesel.

Nice switcher, Chops, and beautiful Tyco CN GP20, Aaron!

This week I'm double-dippin...again.

Up first, my Marx Union Pacific F3A! Runs amazing considering its age, and it was part of my first Marx locomotive acquisitions.

2nd is a Roco Deutsche Bahn cream & blue Class 290 center-cab diesel! This locomotive runs very well, like a Roco should, and is compatible with my Marklin wagons, although they are not compatible with DC track (see my commentary under the Trading Post.) I'm just thrilled to now own a DC HO-Scale German locomotive, let alone a center-cab diesel, to run on the Ephrata Valley Railroad! It is missing 2 buffer pieces, but the price was good so....I'm just on the hunt for 2 buffers or potentially a parts locomotive in order to complete this one.

Wow! I love the look of that Marx. TopTrain (Frank) put me onto Marx
a while back, and those solid, chunky lines are delightful. Better yet,
they track incredibly well. How's she run??

Got this lot up on eBay with a 99 cent starting bid, BTW, if you
ever want to add another Marx A unit.

Nice lot there, Chops.

My Marx Santa Fe F3 runs really well, and hauls well. A video of it on the EVRR will be out next week I'm sure.

The buffers would be super easy to make, try some thin plastic or find some suitable circular thin plastic

Yeah, but I'd really like to get the real things....possibly. I'm not in a hurry, though.

Wow great locos everyone!
It's been a while since I've been on this forum. I've had A LOT of busy work this year, it's just been crazy. Luckily I think I will be able to get back to railroading and collecting (FINALLY!!!) within a month or two!

My LOTW is dedicated to a phenomenal lot of locomotives that I saw at a thrift shop here in Des Moines. Nine Rock Island locomotives (1 steam, 8 diesel), various makes (Proto 2000,Tyco,Bachmann etc.) for only 50 bucks!! Unfortunately I didn't have cash on me so I went home and came back the next day. They were gone :(
Just my luck...
