For my twenty-first time, I get to enjoy another beautiful fall season. The days are growing shorter and colder. The grass grows yellow trees are getting painted in beautiful shades of orange, yellow, and red. Colorful images of leaves, hot apple cider, and pumpkins weigh heavy in my mind... Unlike the year before, September 2020 looks to be a beautiful Indian summer, and thus it's time for my September operations update.

Display So here's the current display layout. I've placed the Fantasy Roadnames in storage, aiming for a more realistic look on my layout. It also makes my display more uniform. Today I repainted the tracks on the bicentennial shelves, and I may continue to further such efforts on other shelves. It honestly looks quite nice to me.
Assets I've finished my Bicentennial asset up this month, added two more Santa fe units to the roster, two additional road switchers and one more GG1. I have a nice sized Santa Fe and Union Pacific Asset going, representing the western railroads.
Maintenance Shop For the most part everything is running pretty well. My 4-6-2 Pacific is working better as a display piece, and looks quite well next to it's bigger running mate, which runs a little smoother than it. My UP E7 is going back into the shop with more mechanical problems. I'm guessing I need to change more drive axles out. I fear my Amtrak GG1 is in need of gear repairs as well, however a gift from RP may prove to help me out a lot.
Fall 2020 Overall I'm looking forward to nice relaxing fall, and plan to spend time outside in the nice cool weather once I get off work each day. Because of the pandemic, I decided to wait a few years to finish my degree, and the more I see on the news the more confident I am that I made the right decision. Plus my hobby and the extra family time have helped my stress out a lot. I'm really hopeful and honestly quite confident this fall will stay DRY. Fall 2019, specifically September 20-21, was extremely wet. I was off at college those days, however I saw many photos of the aftermath of a '200-year storm', including flooding in a few towns out west. Here is a photo of the flooding that occured in a town 40 miles west of us from that storm.

My little town made it through with around 3-4 inches ( which is no big deal for our ditches), however a DNR site to our south recorded 7 inches of rain in 24 hours. I hope we don't have it happen again this year, and so far it's looking good for us.

Great update! Can't wait to see what else you have in store, and yes, I do hope what I send will help you out.
