A Lionel, marketed as an E 33, but I think the trucks are wrong. Fascinating how this design went through so many decades and so many flags until finally scrapped.

I think that Lionel body was designed to snap onto an Athearn GP7 chassis. Not exactly accurate, but easy to tool up for.

My LOTW will be the $20 special I got on 'the site'. Here's my new Tyco Amtrak GG1. I had to put it back together and glue a coupler back because the BLARXes at USPS kicked the ever-living BLARX out of my package. I got it back in good order again, and I'm pretty happy with this old unit. I used to dream of having one Tyco Six Axle. Now I have seven!

Put the E33 on a set of vampires, that would look accurate!

Ironically, #4601 will not be scrapped. Not sure of its current disposition but it is supposed to be cosmetically restored.

Fabulous piece, Catford. I had to look it up, and am still not clear, is Illinois Central Gulf same as Illinois Central?

My LOTW is a Rivarossi Indiana Harbor 0-8-0 in AT&SF livery made (according to the paperwork mine came with) in 1983. I got it at the last train show I went to along with the Rivarossi 2-8-8-2 I posted a little while ago. Even though there was a ridiculous amount of dried up old grease inside of the locomotive, it ran like a champ when I first put it on the track. (I eventually cleaned off most of the dried up grease and gave it some fresh lubrication after initial testing)

Nice! I want one of those 0-8-0's!
The ICG has always confused me, because, well, Illinois isn't part of the gulf!

Lotta locos this week! Love 'em all.
My LOTW offering is this Fleischmann N-Scale Class 120 electric locomotive, in the RARE beige&red DB scheme!! Got it for $50 bucks, a third of the original price on this locomotive.
Even though it appeared basically mint, upon testing it on the Alpine Railway, it didn't move or light up at all. I popped off the shell and after an hour or so of diagnosis, I've determined it to be a contact issue with the "rooftop" contact piece not fully making contact between 2 strips on the board which rests atop the motor assembly. Need more spare time to work on it...
