I was at my grandparent's cabin in minnesota a few months ago and found some old ho slot cars I took them home and did some research and when I looked closer I saw that they were made by Ideal. I am guessing that they were my uncle's back in the 70's there are 2 of them and I tried testing them using my model train equipment to see if they worked and they sort of did. Does anyone have any info on these? here are the pics:

Slotless, race cars made by Ideal. Seem like they could be fun, I don't know... Known as TCR, Total Control Racing, in their day... Ideal was quite a Toy company in the 70's and 80's .

Ideal made a battery powered slot car single lane set called, Motorific. I had a set in the 1970s and have since replaced the set with the same one I had. Motorific had several cars and trucks avaliable and can still be found plentiful on ebay.

Nice, Erik! Those are keepers, and for their age, they are in great shape.

I had a set I played with in the early 80's, but as a kid way back then, I don't think it survived me. I just found a "custom" HO rail crossing on the auction site. The TCR sets are pretty pricey in general, I wish I hadn't actually played with it!
