Earlier this week, I stayed up late (almost 1am) to bid on this large lot of Burlington Route F9 locomotives and cabeese on Ebay. Surprisingly, no one else bid, and I won the entire lot for the original listing price of $60! Finding 1 good condition (by that I mean no broken stepladders or horns) Tyco Burlington Route F9A is becoming increasingly more difficult, and they fetch anywhere from $20 to $40 on average. This was a great deal, to say the least.

But, on to what I got. Up first are the cabeese.

MINT Burlington caboose, in its original Red box!

Good condition Burlington caboose #1

Good condition Burlington caboose #2

THE ORIGINAL design of Tyco's Burlington caboose!! Boy, is this hard to find!! In great shape - just needs a new exhaust stack.

Customized Burlington caboose - someone painted the top walkway black.

And, now, on to the F9's.

MINT powered Burlington F9, in its original Red box!

PERFECT Burlington F9 B-unit (dummy.) Just needs a new coupler.

Great condition Burlington F9 - this one features dual MU-2 motor trucks! Someone must have customized this thing, and once it is fully maintenanced, I'm sure this F9 will haul like a beast.

Another Burlington F9, except a good chunk of the front is missing. :( But, it still runs! Just needs a shell replacement.

Love this one! This is the "no-front step version" of the Tyco Burlington F9A! Runs, of course.

And lastly, another Burlington F9A, with all 6 steps, however, this one has seen better days. The shell is really dirty, and the trucks & weight cover definitely shows signs of moisture. This is my next restoration project, so stay tuned! Will it run?

I've always been searching for a good deal on 1 Tyco Burlington F9, and I still can't believe I won this lot of Burlington F9's and cabeese!! Another Ebay score.

Most cool, have not seen that Tyco did a Burlington scheme.
Now you have enough to create a Pure Burlington layout!

Thanks guys!! Yes, I am still shocked I got such a large lot....and apparently the previous owner must have been collecting everything Burlington, as I was lucky enough to get the "no steps" variant of the Burlington F9, the dummy B-unit, and the Burlington caboose in it's original HTF scheme.

You are right, busss, and I needs to get them now.

I might be selling one of these, I just haven't decided yet. If so, I'll put it up on the forum first.

Those cabooses reminded me of something I've seen in the full-size world:

Excellent haul! I've never seen the all-silver variant of the caboose. I know on the streamliners at least, there are two different font variations. I'm not sure if the engines ever came with the other font variant. Just a little tidbit of info...

Here are the fonts:

Interesting font variation on those Burlington coaches. Perhaps the F9's also had that...will have to check...

Also, love that real Burlington caboose.

Working in that caboose would be like working in the basement, but I understand that polycarbonated plastic windows are expensive.
