Please enjoy this video which features the 2nd, and harder-to-find variant of TYCO's Virginian ALCO C430, hauling Virginian hoppers on RETRO TYCO! So glad to have finally added this piece to my Tyco locomotive collection.

That is so neat! Crisp set of Virginian’s doing the rounds. The unlabeled Tyco caboose is a good choice, but my curiosity is peaked- is there such a thing as a Tyco Virginia caboose?
Could we get a two train video, using the inside 8, Someday? That would be fine to see.

My friend Brian who runs his ebay store only has a few of his own personal trains. He says he has two Virginian E44 electrics with about 100 of those TYCO Virginian hoppers. He says the E44's have DCC, but have horn hooks. All the hoppers have horn hooks. He said he wasn't allowed to run his train at any clubs because "They had to have kadee's." "Bull!" Said Brian. "Why?" "My E44's are only hauling the hoppers, it's a complete train! It's not coupling to anything else!"
And Chops, I don't think a Virginian caboose exists

Wow, some clubs can get might persnickity. I'd rather be running my trains, and many occasions I have whiled away pleasant hours doing circles around guys cursing and fumbling with erratic Kadee's. For the most part I'm Old School and would run the hook and loop couplers if they still made them standard- those things were about bullet proof.

I apologize in advance for a few extemporaneous exclamations. After every coupler adjustment, spanning ten minutes, the couplers insisted to disengage every time. Never did get that train over the hill.

"Persnickity"
" NO CABOOSE!?"
My kadees have worked well. I think your problem may have been that the curves were too sharp, and the kadees were body mounted. Those cars should have a talgo - truck style kadee setup to be able to stay engaged going around that curve.
Could you imagine watching a fully loaded train careen down the hill?

Thanks Chops! Yeah, I'll definitely have to do a duo video of both versions of the Tyco Virginian C430....thanks for the idea!
As far as the Virginan caboose, yes, it does exist, but much like Crown Vic pointed out, it is quite difficult to find, like the D&H caboose. Still looking for one. For now, the "General Purpose 628" red caboose does its job.

Yeah actually. Look u Lac-Megantic runaway train. A tragic reminder that if something can go wrong, It will.
Yes, in the mean time Ol’ 628 meets the void.
