...
Moving right along, an Athearn BB, hand painted in a fantasy paint scheme. Hey, at least it's better than that awful G of Guilford, or the confusing Pan American logo, that this grand old Flag became. Question: did Tyco ever do any B&M stuff? I grew up in B&M country, lot of fond memories, sorry to see it go.

Seriously, though. I think Chops forgot to post his actual post.

Hunter and Summer, the Blaxland Switchers, pose for a portrait.
The root of my recent inactivity has been caused by the finishing of some projects!
My LOTW is Blaxland Ridge #2 "Hunter"
I custom painted and decalled hunter, it was my first attempt at decaling and I quickly picked up on some techniques. I instantly got better with the next loco I decalled. I also removed all the molded on grabs, and made seperate ones. This is one out of 3 Model Power Boosters I own. I've got this one, and a B&O one together and fancy, but my soon to be custom Santa Fe is in pieces. That one is a trainwreck! on the topic of boosters, I've always been surprised that everyone's called this model power 0-4-0 just a "Switcher".
Nobodys really put together that it's a 21st century mantua booster. Interesting.
I also added some details and decals to my ML-8, Blaxland Ridge #11, "Summer".

Nice work!

Had my rubber band Hustler out this morning. Works great, the rubber band drive has a nice little flywheel effect that keeps it moving.

Sorry, no, doesn't, but the stored tension of the rubber bands keeps the wheels turning when it hits a a rough patch, or over a switch.

Some guys here have actually installed flywheels on their Hustlers or other Athearn rubber band engines. I put them on a RDC, I painted and it flies....
