My LOTW is this Mantua Prairie. It's not the stock Prairie with the plastic shell and traction tire. I like to put the old school die cast shell from the 0-6-0 on and wheels without traction tires to improve electrical pickup while keeping decent traction. It's modified so all drivers pick up electricity from the rail and the tender picks up from both rails, as well.
I had a bunch of parts around and figured out that they'd make up a whole engine, which is a more compact way to store parts, anyhow, so I put this together. I didn't have valve gear for it, so I just added a valve rod to look like it's got Stephenson valve gear.

My LOTW this week is one I'm rather happy with... My 1975 (?) Tyco-Mantua Union Pacific GP20. After a difficult coupler change-out, and a little motor work, the old unit was running once again. I've had a lot of luck with the Mantua M2 Motor. I'm currently bidding on a C430 from which I should get enough stanchions to make handrails for it

The GP20 and 2-6-2 are both great looking engines.
I really like what you did with the 2-6-2 Don, it really has the look of some small engines that ran out here on the west coast. I bet it is a fine runner now with the extra weight and electrical improvements.

Nice pieces, guys. I love the look of that steamer, what with the white wall tires. Very cool you could take it to the next level.

This is an AHM 0-4-0 which stands in as a back up on the museum exhibit. She's turned quite a few hours and is holding up well.

This week it is hard for me to select something to place in with Saggy's locomotive shop built Parrie. or Chops open paree spaces photo of the old wooden western stores in the distance. I would guess they look even better close up. And last that young man Arron with his classic Tyco Geep. For me I'll post a photo of an old little 0-B-0 electric locomotive. This is a model that came and quickly left my collection. Back in the day these little IMP beauties would have set you back 10 or 12 dollars. If you notice in the drawing is the very modern electronics of the day a waffered selenium rectifier which provided directional lighting for those 1950ish modelers who really knew their stuff. frank
