In the late 1800s and early 1900s the horse car lines in San Francisco were being electrified and so there were a surplus of horse cars. Many of them were purchased as small homes and ended up on the dunes near the ocean. The community became known as Carville-by-the-Sea (or simply Carville).

I'm creating a small diorama with a Bachmann On30 trolley (which is pretty close to what a horse car looked like) and added curtains and some weathering. I just need to add a couple of people.

One of my friends loves to build dioramas. This reminds me of the beginning of one of them!
