Some fine old Frank Tanks that predate horn hook couplers, using a very solid hook and loop design. They will not couple to anything else, but I am going to keep it retro and fire up an old Varney switcher for head end power. Thanks, Frank!

Update for the Road & Rail set I bought.
Technically I bought it last week but I just received it today. It is missing 3 telephone poles (1 plain and 2 with yellow boxes), 9 trackside signs, 1 guard rail, and 8 flag poles with corresponding flags. The rest of the set is COMPLETELY INTACT, including instruction, lubrication and order forms. No catalog.
Photo shows what it came with that doesn't belong: 2 Tyco Speedways crossovers, 1 nine inch straight (extra), 2 AFX slot cars, a set of risers for some unknown race track, a complete set of piers for another Road & Rail, 1 Green Giant Box, 1 Chiquita Banana Box, a Santa Fe F40PH and one old timey coach.
I have not tested anything to see if it works.

One of these sets sold for over $600 on ebay not long ago. It was still wrapped in a shipping cardboard! Here's a pic...

that's impressive. It appears to be an earlier set as it has the extra race car bodies. Mine was not made with them

Just tested the train portion of the set. It does run but needs wheels cleaned and new traction tires installed.

Its tank week this week. Those are some cool vintage tankers. And that Road Rail set is nice also, I need to stay away from those slot cars for fear of sliding down that slope.
