I have a new to me set by HObbyline. It is #466 "The Western Pacific "Frontiersman".
The box isn't ready for stardom just yet. It still needs a through cleaning and a rebuilding of its sides, top and bottom that have been falling apart.
Here is the cover art work.

Here is the set on the table top.

Here is the set on the layout.

Forgive me for going off track, but this is a reassembled, a bit like Frank's mega cool Frontiersman, of a Joeuf/Playcraft British 00 set as it would have come out of the box around the mid '60's. As a five year old, I would have cut off a pinky to have had this, whilst enjoying a year abroad in the UK.

Frank, I love your Hobbyline set! Those old trains have a lot of character that the newer plastic models don't quite capture. Good on you for restoring the set!
Chops, the train and layout look great! You've really captured a cool aesthetic.
I'll post a 'set' that's been somewhat of an ongoing project for me. This is a model of the 1959 Disneyland Mk. I monorail. I've been 3D modeling/printing various models off over the last year. This was the first of several projects. It will be revisited eventually to add a few more details and possibly a running chassis.

Thanks! I uploaded the 3D files to the Thingiverse website. They're available for free download if you have access to a printer. I'm not quite at the point yet where my prints are good enough to sell, but maybe some day.

Joeuf like some other manufactures of model trains keep on producing a variety of sets for playcraft to keep the little kids happy. In the US Playart did the same thing. Life-Like sets using the Lil Joe were always out there. Lima alco 0-4-0 switchers started appearing in imported sets brought in thanks to people like Bernie Paul and Nat Polk. I guess Christmas time brings back alot of memories , and they are nice to remember. Yep, nice to remember!

My train around the tree this year is a Bachmann Harry Potter set. I found the set many years ago at a Ross store in Pacifica for $30, on my birthday no less! It runs great!

LMK if you go the green route. I've never been able to find the right tint, for UK steam, that is. Much less for UK diesel.

I just bought this yesterday. It's missing a couple of pieces, BUT it has pieces in it that don't belong. I actually had a set like this in the 1970s with the same train consist as the Tyco's Rock Island Line. However, I'll never find the set I had, so this one will have to do. I DO actually have the train that came with my original Road & Rail set somewhere.

Whoa, baby! Nice set. Speaking for myself, I got a few extra USA 1 tracks, not sure if they fit with that set track. Some curves, a few junctional, a couple of straights. LMK if you need any to complete the roadway. Also a few bits of brass RR track.

I will keep that in mind. I think what I am actually missing is a racetrack guard rail and the sign/pole set. I'll know more when it arrives.

My set arrived yesterday. It had two extra pieces of straight race track that swapped lanes for a Tyco Speedways set, and some supports for an unknown race set.
I am missing one guard rail, some flag poles, most of the trackside signs and 3 telephone poles, two of which have the transformer box on them. But the rest of the set is complete
