I was truly surprised how smoothly these rubber band drive units ran. The band
also seems to act to store energy, so on a frog or small dead spot, the locomotive
pulls right through, even at low speed.

Funny you mention it, I just had her out last night.
Running fine. I put the RBD RDC's up on eBay.
Four rubber bands constantly requiring a
complex refit. Got tired of them. Ran pretty good,
though.
