Maybe you've seen this Blax, Micro Busss put me on to this one. One of
my favorite ads, ever. As good as any Super Bowl advert!

This inspired me to come up with the "Ambulance Train:"

The Ambulance Train makes regular appearances on the Henley series
to tend to those misfortunates attacked by the Loch Ness Monster.

Yes siree! I have seen that british police loco!
Not going to do it in that scheme though. Whenever I find the loco I want to transform it into, it will most likely be dark police blue, with some white and black checkers along the side, somewhere near the bottom. (Again, I dont have a set loco I want to do this to, but it will most likely be diesel)
Sweet ambulance car!  Is that your layout?

Mine all mine. I got my foot in two canoes- one Tyco and the
other British OO. I shoot for a 1970's feel for the Tyco, a lot
of visual puns. For the British OO I try to lean a bit more
proto-feel (as opposed to 'photo real.')
When I get bored with the Tyco I mess with the OO, and vice
versa. The ambulance wagon is a Spanish piece, and marked
for the National Spanish Railways, by Electrotren. As most
people from this side of the lake don't notice the distinctions
between European Continental and British island rail, I enjoy
mixing them up a little bit.
I am most interested to see your police locomotive, diesel
or steam- diesel makes a little more sense. Making me think
I might go through my scrap box and make a companion piece
for what you are doing- seeing what we both would come up
with!
If the house was on fire and I had to save one and not the other,
probably go for the OO, honestly. It goes back further in my
train roots and at the end of the day it functions more
consistently than does Tyco.
