One of our former members and the original founder of this forum had a very nice resource site that I try to look at once on a while but often it is a hit and miss situation. If I type in tycotrains.tripod.com it may sent me to site or it sends me to another site that I think is involved with but the information is not as easily accessible. If I get to that first site and click on say locomotives it sends me to the Whiteriver Productions site. The site was Tony Cooks HO Scale Trains Resource. It had redbox and brownbox info but you click and it leads you to the other site. Once in a while you'll stay on the original site but can't easily go back later. I have heard something about a server change being an issue?
Anyone else notice this or care?

Yes, I am experiencing the same issue. I actually found Tony's "Brown Box Resource" a long time ago, before I even knew that much about Tyco, and found it quite inspiring. Today, I still turn to it for the very same inspiration, and information on Tyco pieces of interest.
I thought I discovered somewhere that the old website was being updated to a new server, and new look, and that now, the "new website" is compiling information from the old sites, per day.

| Yes, everything that was on the original ho-scaletrains.net server seems to have vanished into thin air (good thing archive.org exists). I seriously hope the original site wasn't killed off just to sell printed media, as that is what the current .com site seems to be about rather than being a resource as it's called - it doesn't take a year to FTP a hundred or so meg from one website to another, update the page layout and get everything working. Maybe it's time for a wiki (just don't use Wikia/Fandom, ugh)...

Yes, I too liked the old site.
One of the many projects I have ongoing is a search engine to look for certain keywords and to provide any and all hits. So far, I have it working for Lionel HO. I had begun on Tyco, but simply haven't had the time to work on it. Here is a screen shot of the primary search page. One thing I couldn't figure out is how/where to put it out on the WWW?

I discovered a interesting Facebook page devoted to Tyco trains.
https://m.facebook.com/tycocollectors/
They show some other companies trains as well.
