Here's my LOTW offering:
Tyco MU-2 Chessie System C430 #4301 - got this one off of Ebay listed as "not working" for only $9.99, free shipping. It only needed some minor tuning-up, and it now runs awesome!

Keeping the diesel theme going. This a Tyco GP20 with the dynamic brake hatch.

My LOTW is an ATT (made by Triang/Hornby) H0 Santa Fe Budd RDC unit which I got along with a dummy RDC that I got in running condition for only $10. Aside from not being the biggest fan of my infamous "dead zone" (it still makes it through alright, just stutters a bit ), it runs like a champ. Quite nice for a 50 year old locomotive.

Yeah, they did actually! The only real difference between the Budd RDC they made for Canada and the ones made for ATT (aside from the liveries, of course) was that they blotted out the "Triang" name on the bottom right above the label that says, "Built In Britain".

Kovacste; My findings are the same for any of by Triang made locomotives. Time and good friends have allowed me to get a few of their RDC's and with minimum servicing they do exactly as they were built to do. They cruise the layout with ease . I still have power and dummy sets of Reading and Chesapeake and Ohio . still Trains ars fun! frank

Yeah, these things are actually fairly well built. Again, the only problem with them is that they need at least two more pickups, but that’s not that big of a deal to me. I mean, they’re literally 50 years old, what do you expect? I am genuinely impressed with their performance, though, especially for the price. I didn’t have to do anything to get them running well unlike most engines I get at shows.
