G'day, people...
A few years back, I obtained a CN 4-6-2 by IHC. This locomotive contains a "Magic-Mate" coupler that hooks onto knuckle couplers such as Kadee, McHenry, and Proto 2000, And those X-2F (aka Horn Hook) couplers... and lately, DaCheeze has just told me that they even hook up to that Tyco "Transformer's" train hooks as well.
My experience is that it's easier to unhook these from the X2-F's by hand compared to the knuckle couplers. The "Rix Uncoupler" is best suited for the knuckles, the Atlas uncoupler is best suited for the horn hooks.
My questions are: "Who makes these couplers?" "Where can we get them?"
Answers are much appreciated!
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
