I got this car at a train show last week. It was brand new in the box. As a collector, I thought this was a yellow variation of the usual white car.
When I got it home and opened it up - surprise! It was yellowed/faded, not a variation of the white car. In fact the white vacuform package insert was yellow too where it was exposed through the clear window of the box.
The other side, not exposed to the sun was still white. Never saw this before. I guess it was in the sun a long time, though the blue markings didn't fade.

Marx; New York Central RR, Early Bird box car. Same car as the Model Power Domino Sugar car. Got it years ago with the door upside down and it still is that way. frank toptrain
