Guys,

I have previously posted some videos of our earlier Playcraft Railways and Highways displays.

We have been out with it a couple of times this year, as 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the series being withdrawn and the 60th Anniversary of the introduction of Playcraft Highways which went on to become Aurora Model Motoring and spawn every other HO scale slot car system.

Here is some footage of us at the National Festival of Toy Trains at Alresford, Hampshire in June:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NobyIknzumg

The BR carmine and cream carriages were specially created for the show by my chum Brixham using some BR Maroon ones and a spray gun. Vehicles running included Faller, Playcraft, Aurora and Bauer. Most have been re-engineered with a T Jet chassis.

We tried to fit more in, especially in the yard area towards the front, which we succesfully did, but oh how I wish that I had spotted the drunken tower block whilst the show was on!

Guess the tables were less even than I thought!

James

Thanks

Those 25, 50 and 75 signs are just speed limits. There are some now that say 125 for your HST!

The real Police loco was orignally only done for a InterCity advert. Lima then modelled it.

First time I saw this Inter City advert, I think it was Buss who
posted it, I about died laughing. One of the best adverts of
all time. Truly, it inspired this video of my own:

That Playcraft layout is pure old school Britannia OO. Love it, especially that fine looking D6100 leading the Blood and...what did they say...Potatoes? What?? No, no, CUSTARD. Blood and Custard.
