Has anyone ever installed a tyco powertorque or mu2 truck in an ahm c-liner shell? Looks like all that would be required is cutting the appropriate slots. Same thing for the trailing truck.

While never personally attempting this project, I would recommend using Tyco/Manuta MU-2 style trucks over PowerTorques....as MU-2's have not only more-powerful motors, but are long lasting (at least in my experience, seemingly nothing to cause them to stop working!) Tyco PowerTorque motors, while powerful with new traction tires and some TLC, are prone to burning-out, or popping pinion (drive) gears.....the pinion gears can be fixed however.

Ditto on what RP said. It might be worth finding a working AHM unit on eBay and just swap shells. I refitted a number of Tyco units with older MU2 motors as they are far more reliable.
