A Hog-Pog I created of a highly collectible locomotive, a 1956 Rivarossi SP 4-4-2. Untill I get brave enough to do what I must to get this loco running it will sit like this.

Magnificent speedster from the days when trains were king, Frank. Nice post.

Below is a Varney Aerotrain into which I hope to successfully install this Athearn
BB chassis off a SW1500. I have waited a long time to get my paws on this
project; it is the perfect addition to Armadilloville. Any suggestions as to
where to cut the chassis off? I will be reinstalling the original trailing wheels
of the locomotive.

At long last, the long suffering denizens of Armadilloville will have some speedy
transport to evade the monstrous traffic jams. I am reading Ayn Rand's "Atlas
Shrugged," right now, and am debating if to letter it for "Taggart Transcontinental?"

"The Taggart Transcontinental Railroad, in Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged, was the railroad founded in the nineteenth century by Nathaniel Taggart and, during the period of the novel's action, run by James Taggart as President and Dagny Taggart as Vice-President in Charge of Operations." (Conservapedia).

I would not cut anything and just remove one truck and it will most likely fit right up into the car body. The center axels if you are lucky will match the front side frames cast into the car body. Only cut away what diesn't fit inside the car body.

Thanks Frank, simple answer is usually the best. Never
occurred to me to simply pop the truck. Beautiful

Those are ALCO's, Chops.

Here's my LOTW offering:

Tyco Chessie System "Super" ALCO C630 #1102, a product of a recent trade with microbusss that just arrived in the mail today. It runs and lights well!! Now, I just need to clean and lube it, then install a new horn, and its destined for RETRO TYCO.
