I'm curious to know the minimum radius for this model. Will it go around 18-inch curves?

Really interesting and unusual piece. Reminds me of a Soviet era locomotive built
under the auspices of Stalin. The wheel base was too long to negotiate the curves
and had to be scrapped. Could not have gone well for the design team.

Thank you for posting this most interesting model.

This was the biggest german engine a 4-8-4. but also a big failure. no combustion chamber, to long (leaky) boiler tubes, derailing on turnouts.....

2-12-0 here out west in the central plain states the UP and maybe the SF had long framed loco like that. To many curves here in the east. Articulated engines were the practical answer to many driver locomotives. The pennsylvania railroad had 7 axel steam engines, the Q1 and Q2 that had one rigid frame but use them in their lines west railroads. These were duplex drive locomotives. The largest duplex drive loco PRR used in the east was the T1. A 4-8-4 non articulated, duplex drive.
Erick I really like the streamline 4-8-4, I just hate the symbol on the tender. To bad a country of very bad people built and used it.
