Some years ago, before I became a CTH (Confirmed Tyco Head), I had a friend named Johnny.
Johnny came by the house one afternoon and we ran some of his trains. I asked Johnny if he
modeled a certain era, road name, place, etc. He replied, "no, I go by color. I see a color I like
and that goes into my train."

Never heard that one before, but the idea stuck to me, and it is a big part of what I do when
I run consists. I've had green moods, orange moods, red moods, and a blue mood.

Johnny didn't fare so well. Sometime later he got addicted on heroin and spent his last years
desperately struggling to reclaim his shattered life, and his trains. I don't believe he made it.

I could say that color is a big factor of what I buy also, Chops... I buy things I don't even really need if it's a color that stands out to me..

LOL, guess I'm more of a practical guy, when it comes to trains. I mainly am concerned the particular railroad, etc - this is mainly on the Ephrata Valley Railroad though. On RETRO TYCO, however, I basically just pair-up whatever Tyco cars look good together.

You are doing wonderful things, RP, wonderful things. One of the
things I admire about your collection is how well you have
kept to a theme. That is NOT easy to do!!!

Thanks, Chops! Yes...I do try to keep my collection limited to only the things I know are unbeatable "deals" or those I truly want.
