Excellent vintage steamers, Chops and catfordken! Hate to break the rhythm but....
Here's my "diesel" LOTW offering:
The latest addition to the Ephrata Valley Railroad locomotive roster -- Gulf Mobile & Ohio RR (GM&O) GP38-2 #744! This "geep" is a vintage LifeLike (first produced in the late '70's) and represents yet another railroad to operate on the EVRR.
GM&O is now by far one of my favorite locomotive liveries....right behind Pennsy and Reading.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." - Matthew 5:16
Yep, discovered that in reading up on the history of the GM&O...so I have a ICG caboose at the end of this freight train, symbolizing a post-merger lashup. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." - Matthew 5:16
the ICG lasted from 1972 - 1988 when they went back to IC & then in 1998 it merged with CN but there still are a few IC rolling stock still plying the rails today
heck once I caught a ex-D&H grain hopper here
