Ah! A transition week going from one month to the next. Lots to thinks about. Lets see I have just gotten a Aristo-Craft locomotive. One of the new-one diecast line and it comes with its problems. Like on many a tender truck has fallen apart, also a front lead truck axle has disconnected from the truck frame. Other than that this locomotive's appearance is very good. A problem with it will be see by all once I post a photo.

Opps The box it came with is the wrong box. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel so upon a great deal of studying this problem I will place mt B&O Royal blue with in this box as to have a complete Royal Blue 4-6-0 at least.

I love those New One steam lokies Frank! All the ones I have also have disintegrated trucks.
My LOTW is this rescue from the Alemany flea market, an Athearn U30B. The motor is loose but that is easily fixed. At least all the handrails are present.

Wow, great stuff! That Aristocrafts are amazing. Great WP piece. Those old BB's are terrific.

An AHM unit lashed to a Tyco EMD. This is the kind of catch-as-catch-can Penn Central lash ups I was looking for, from my youth. Great PC video in Railroadianna, BTW. (Layout is El Paso Model Train Club).

Ouch! Had a similar problem with an OO British 0-4-2. "Bull Frog Snot" helped a little. That's good to know Ziploc! Thanks for posting. Got a pic???

* Jeff what a great name for a locomotive, It brings model train collecting up to a whole new level. Or is it down. Also I do remember that traction was not one of the gifts locomotive builders gave to that model train. The real one had a way at startup to shift weight off of the trucks and on to the driver wheel set. It actually was very a very fast runner in real train service, just slower to get up to speed. frank

Yes, the Hornby 0-4-2 kind of teetered on the center axle, removing tractive effort from the forward drivers. No mechanical way I could see to adjust the axle height.
