The United Kingdom is a trove of history, not to mention pre-history. Every month some
one sticks a shovel in the earth and some relic or artifact turns up. Everything from
Roman shoes to Viking coins, not even to mention the things that turn up around
Stonehenge. The list goes on forever.

With that in mind, I created "The Catford Urns," named after a friend of ours from
London. These are imaginary features that defy modern understanding, viewed here
by an Eduardian age (1920's) couple touring the British countryside on my OO British
layout, "Henley."

That's "Hadrian's Wall" in the bottom of the top photo(an actual relic from when the
Roman's built a wall across the entire width of Northern England to keep out the
barbarian Scottish Picts- my direct ancestors, AD 122). Little wonder they wanted
to keep people like me out!!
