Hi all,
Got this on eBay this week. Thought I would share. Tru-Scale hobo with campfire.

Great little piece, what is it supposed to do? It seems mounted on an electrical conduit of some kind.

The fire lights up. I don't think a train could actually pass this without hitting and derailing, it is molded right to the end of the ties and is powered by the track. I have it on my display shelf.

I just did a Google search and discovered that this was a 1962 TruScale terminal track.

I guess the "fire light" would serve as a power level indicator for the electrical block the terminal track would feed.
No fire light=No track power
Dim fire light=low voltage
Bright fire light=high voltage
Certainly is a cute little gimmick. I'm surprised Tyco didn't run with the idea.
