The original Power Trains Target stores sell was a bit smaller than HO. They've since come out with an N gauge size, so I picked up the red/white/blue diesel a few weeks ago, and decided to try to fit it to an N gauge powered chassis. I chose a cheap $5 Bachmann GP-50 I'd gotten at a show. Turns out to be a near-perfect match. A little dremel work, and the chasis slid inside the shell , and friction will hold it in, as it's fairly tight fit. I was rather pleased with the ease of conversion. Had hoped to do the larger one, but it's more TT size than anything. Oh well. Here's a few pictures of the two pieces.

If you did put an N gauge chassis on a TT scale model, the gauge would scale out to approximately 42". This gauge, while not common in the U.S. is popular in other places. Ecuador's railroads are 42" gauge, and I think Japan and New Zealand are, as well.

Interesting N-Scale work there, Jerry.....I always find it interesting how contemporary manufacturers make trains that model those "toy trains" of the past.
