The pictures you've posted previously really don't do it justice. Very cool layout! I don't know if it's intentional or just the way the caulk settled, but the road looks nicely cracked and weathered in the video.

Da Cheez, I cannot tell a lie: the caulking cracking was pure chance. Another thing I couldn't get a handle on was the way the flex track ties shadowed, no matter how many layers I put on.

Well it worked out! I know the struggle of the ties showing indents through the caulk. I'm thinking next time I try the caulk method a thin layer of plaster before may help.

Yeah, if I was to do it again I'd try plaster. I used caulk because I intended it to go to exhibits, and was worried what the small twisting and bending would do to plaster. Draw back to caulk is once it's on, it's on for good. No way to repair track, as I discovered.
