Clattering down the interstate, Smeltertown was moved to the museum for tomorrow's exhibit. Nothing fell off as everything is glued with JB Weld and Super Glue. Still having a tad of trouble about every 20th circuit around one corner, but the issue to my astonishment, appears to be largely related that the new Bachmann PCC's have a flange that is a tiny, tiny bit larger than the older PCC's they made, thus a tendency to grab and stall where ever the flange makes contact with the "street." A little regrooving with an Exacto knife has largely cured the problem. Cross my fingers, tomorrow's the big day!
This why I so much appreciate what RP Model Railroads has done: by keeping a firm grip of his ambitions, he has distilled the essence of the thing into a portable layout that can fit into a small hatch back.
