Sometime ago I traded a Johnson Wax Tyco Shark for a Joeuf D6100, a locomotive
I recall experiencing around '66 or so, when we lived abroad for a year in Britain.
So when I got a chance to trade on it, I jumped. Then this Joeuf train set popped
up for sale in Scotland, so I slammed down on that one, too. A delightful old
piece, it looks like it was run once and forgotten about. As such, I will clean it
out and lubricate it before I put the juice to it. The company is French, later
taken over by British Hornby. They also put out model trains under the
"Playcraft" label. The wagons are very simple, and Marx like, in design,
but are both rugged and quite light. The detailing, my molded in is
well proportioned. This piece is a delight.

this week's SOTW for me is a rare set, I finally got the last piece I needed ( the combine car ), but had to buy two extra passenger cars to get it. Worth it though. The C&FW train is pretty cool, I have the cab somewhere, and found a generic front boiler cover to put on it for now. I'm thinking about adding a mantua water car, and the 3 Jo's ride in them. :D

This week is my Mantua Shark a&b set that I just got. It is unpainted but will be receiving the
EJ&E livery. Since these are the demonstrator locos, I thought that I would put on the livery
of the railroad that originally received them. I still need to find the base color (altho the photos
I seen so far a dark brown was the color used during this period) I would like to see if I can
find a better photo on them.
