A 1998 Bachmann Monopoly Set
Repop Lionel Girls Train Set. According to the docent, the repop flopped as badly as the original, but the original sells up to $15,000 in mint condition.

Here's my SOTW... The Gilbert 30730 "The Cannon Ball" from 1961/62. The New Haven gondola in the set is warpedand buckled from the weight expanding which is very common with the post 61' gondolas.

** Well here I have a Gilbert 1963 set, no box, From a past Allentown spring thaw train show. The dealer had two of them. neither had a box, but sold them as a set.
I posted this because of the misshapen gondola. I never knew why they crack and twist. I thought it was the plastic. Thanks for the info bad-bur. frank

That's a pretty nice set there Frank. The Monon looks fairly straight and the Erie work caboose is a tough one to find. I have all the pikemaster gondolas. Maybe I'll post up a pic of them next week. I'm sure you know they're not the easiest Gilbert pieces to find in any condition.

Buss, The one you have is the operating tie-jector car
The Erie Work caboose shared the same body but did not have the operating mechanism in the chassis and is a scarce item.
