I post early because this set has me baffled. I didn't buy it this week, but last year at a local show in New Jersey.
It has a catalog number of 7662 on the side. It all fits the provided box. The Rock Island diesel has pen markings on the box and some of the other boxes are printed from the factory.
I know nothing about it. I've asked Tony Cook, and he is also stumped.
What say thee?

Beautiful set Will Could have been for a chain store or something like Woolworths or Sears? I've seen a few sets that didn't have "Names" on them. Continuing in a Tyco vein, here's mine. 2 Tyco/Mantua 1860's W&A Passenger cars and a D&RGW combine. Been looking for some of these.

A set I've had for about a year. A Champ set with a 0-4-0 New One Camelback used to power it. Like the other Champ set, the cars are like new, and the loco is also in very good shape. frank

Fabulous sets. I never heard of "Champ" and how unique for a set to have an anthracite burner- an unknown combination. The cover art alone is amazing.
A repeat, but none the less from an actual set. It was called the Rural Rambler and would have come with a circle of track and a transformer, no doubt. It is Hornby OO gauge. I am told it was sold in enormous quantities in the UK, but finding it Stateside was a great day for me.

| That's a pretty unique set Frank. I have a couple Champ sets but have never seen any with anything other than a Varney engine.

WillV: The Tyco set with a Rock Island C430 is nice! I have no experience in the history of Tyco sets....but would agree that it's an awesome find.
Frank: Nice Champ train set!
Here's my SOTW offering - (I hope this fits...) Enjoy!
All 4 of my Autoloaders, filled with Javelins and Camaros (newer models and older), seen here on the outer line of the Ephrata Valley Railroad......

Thanks Chops!! Yep, there's the Santa Fe TT on flatcar!
WillV, In my experience of searching for trailers and cars for my layout.....the Santa Fe piggyback trailers are the easiest and most common to find....anywhere (Ebay especially.) In regards to the Camaros and Javelins.....I was lucky enough to trade with a member or 2 on the TF who were willing to trade away a few Camaros and Javelins....while the others in my rather small collection were amassed from complete Autoloader sets. You could try checking on Ebay for lots of Tyco cars.....
As I'm still on the hunt for the rare yellow Tyco Kenworth cabover to use on my layout...along with some rare piggybacks like Bekins and True Value......I found this Ebay listing for you: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-HO-Scale-Tyco-Union-Pacific-Trailers-andTrucks-Lot-of-12-Fast-Ship/162827352525?hash=item25e94439cd:g:MMgAAOSwAaJaRxsV
^^ A bit pricy, but at least you would obtain 8 UP trailers and 4 Kenworth truck cabs.
I too am still on the hunt for great deals for a truck or 2 more.....so, if you see any...particularly Kenworths....yellow ones in particular....
