Happy New Year My first car for this year is a Gilbert reefer 123 Pacific Fruit Express. Southern Pacific Lines. This car is cataloged from 1946 to 1950.

A Marx coal hopper I picked up for a buck or two. Top Train opened my eyes to Marx, from his World Class collection, and when I see it, I buy it. So often it gets overlooked because of it's cast on brake wheels, and rudimentary styling, but I have discovered that these pieces track awesome. Also, I find their chunky, boxy lines most interesting. Thank you, Frank for getting me in-the- know!

Jeff glad to see someone else saving those Louis Marx HO trains. The best thing about them is they run well. Everyone here with there photos and info helps each other in this hobby of ours.

Buss, I didn't realize that Bubble Yum car was tough. I bought one years ago for my daughter. Think i paid a couple dollars at the most...
Here's my COTW offering... The 59' Tyco/Gilbert B&O cars. I don't have the correct engine to go with them, I use them behind my Gilbert B&O units. I have couple extra coaches that i put with the set to make it nicer...
