I was doing some research and found the below picture of a Tyco blue box set that comes in a wooden box. I cannot recall the URL where I found this. Is this an actual Tyco product, possibly a promotion, or did someone just put the Tyco cars into a wooden box?

This set can be found in the Tyco 1957 Catalog, Set number T10 with a retail price of $99.50. There have been two sets on ebay in the last couple of months. They sold in 350 to 450 range. There was one that went for over $600 about 10 years ago on ebay.

Crimeys, I just looked it up, and in 1950, $99.50 was almost a thousand in today's $$. Can this be right??

$99.50 in 1957 is equivalent to $866.77 in today's value.

Thanks, guys. This is a nice set, but I'll pass on those prices. It would be a different story if I won the lottery.

I had that set in the early 90's. It was not as nice as the example in the photo. I sold the wood set box to Pat Neil in Dallas,TX. He nor I had ever seen one before so they are very, very scarce. $400-600 would be the ball park IMHO.
