Here's my LOTW offering:
Mantua Northern Pacific RR A & B F7's, seen here on my LTT. I believe I need to clean the brushes on the locomotive in order to get a better operating experience. But, they sure are a nice addition to the roster.

My LOTW offering is a model I have for several years now. It was modeled after a MR or MRC article that I am sure I have seen sometime in the past... It is a Mantua Booster with a smoke-stack/ smokebox mounted crane boom.
.
There is a very good chance I have shared this one before. If someone has seen the article, it would be cool to see a pic of it.

I recall seeing a locomotive like that Sean, but I can't remember whether it was a model or a photograph of the real thing. There are images of several of them on the internet, including these two . . .

My loco contribution is a metal Mantua I bought a few weeks ago at a small Firehouse TCA show. Love those O gaugers getting rid of HO!

Here is one of My Project Locomotives I finished. It is the last received, of the last group of Camelbacks ordered by the CRRofNJ. I4 class #684. It has a scratch built locomotive body with a kitbashed ( shortened ) tender. They are made using Bachmann Reading I 10 consolidations. I built a Class I5 at the same time. Both are now on my layout.

I have to admit, I do not think about Harvey when I see this engine, but I did like Thomas and Friends. I even occasionally watch a full episode by myself as an adult. The show itself was started after I was already a teen and I did not hear about it until after my nephew was born. I think I was 19 at the time. I'm 47 now.

A lot of the Thomas series locomotives actually are based on real engines, just with a face added to the front for personality. Henry and possibly Gordon are kit bashes however.
Of course, there are a lot of discrepancies in the original Railway Series books, where a good number of the drawings of the same engines looked completely different, such as having the wrong number of wheels or a different shape, sometimes even in the same story. Thomas' buffers were too low in the TV series, most likely due to the original drawings - most of the rolling stock hauled by Thomas also had to be altered specifically to work with Thomas only, otherwise their buffers would have been too high despite being at the standard height, which would most likely have caused problems if Thomas had to shunt anything. This is true even with Annie and Clarabel. You can see the difference in buffer height on any pre-CGI episode when Thomas has to tow or be towed by another engine, or if he has to move some cars that aren't "his". If the UK had converted to knuckle couplers at the turn of last century instead of staying with buffers and chains, Thomas' couplers would have been too low to couple to anything, just like a poorly fitted Kadee for that matter. Märklin made the original TV series models in Gauge 1 decades before computer animation took over.

* At 71 I like when people say I'm acting like a kid. Sean Who says we have to at a certain age act a certain way? We are individuals, no one acts the same. Everyone stumbles through life however they can. I still like to ride a bicycle even though I may look like a big goof on it. It is easier than walking. And I like that little blue very usefull engine. frank
