Picked up this set yesterday. From the late 80's when Mehano was producing trains for TYCO. 99% complete, doesn't look like it was ever run. All the signs and trestles are there. I don't plan on keeping it.

Wow, some great pickings. Cool "Bonus: Autounloading Station." Does it come with the hand? Ah, for the days of analogue.
And again, I never knew about the Tyco "Burlington" passenger set. When does that date unto, and how rare is that??
I ran my Bride & Groom set, now sporting PC emblems, about the Club track last Thursday, after learning how to replace the rubber "universals" with small bore RC fuel tubing. Worked great. Then, shortly after this video was shot, the motor burned up.
Given the simplicity of the drive train I should be able to fit in a spare motor to replace what looks to be a roasted and toasted Pittman.

still looking for the UP passenger cars & locos of that era but I don't need the combine or the observation as I alread have those

My set this week is a set of Trail Blazer passenger cars. These have the original couplers and trucks that came with the kits. I'll be replacing them with better ones.

| That's a pretty cool set of cars George. Those couplers are like link and pin, hey? You were doing link and pin on some cars for a while, or am I thinking of someone else. Do you think you'd have a bunch of derailments if you used those couplers? I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do with these cars.

These are not quite a link and pin. One half is a loop and the other half is a split loop. I have done a couple of constructs with link and pin. I have not had any problems with them de-railing at all.
One is a Rivarossi contsruct and the other is a Mantua and both work just fine. These cars will probably receive knuckle couplers.

Well you are showing me of the four cars 2 I have never seen except in a promotional photo for the trail blazers. The combine and the baggage car are the two I haven't seen before these photos. You got a nice set but with car have the wrong trucks. They are not the original ones that came with the kits. They are way to modern. frank
This car has the old trucks.

Awesome sets. Those passenger cars were made by a company called trailblazer? Never seen them before but they're awesome.
Love to find some for myself :C

Dan, I shelled out a C-note for the Gravy Train set. I had to have it because it was so absurd that I could not resist. Please excuse the dead zombies, it was under construction.
