My LOTW offering this week is an Aristo Craft Philadelphia & Reading HO 4-2-2 Bicycle Steam Engine & Coal Tender
Sean This loco looks very familiar. I wonder what the tie between you and me and it is. Thanks again Sean. frank

Beautiful locos. I especially like the Bicycle. For a fan of early-century railroading, she's a beauty. Mine is the Amtrak GG-1 I got off of chevelle454. I love me Vampire GG1's!

Yes Frank! Indeed it is. .. BTW... How were you able to get inside my original post and respond to it? In addition to this response I mean?

The G is one of my favorite locomotives. From the PRR to Conrail, it was a survivor. I put two powered vamp trucks in mine to give it some get up and go. I found that with the single motor it barely pulled three coaches. https://youtu.be/yTvgt7YdnbE

It was indeed. Only seen them static, but I love Big Electrics. Love to see a Tyco G repainted into the Rudolph scheme (or Conrail)

Mike just keeps raising the bar, though that Fleischmann is pretty darn neat. I did get to see one of the last G's hauling a dog train at speed down the Northeast Corridor in New Jersey, must have been about '76 or '77. It was painted all black, and all the insignias were painted over in black, save for a small "CR" stenciled on the nose. As diminished as she was, she was still a magnificent sight- a faint whine from her traction motors and the reverberation of a long string of 40 foot box cars behind her. She was hauling. Looking back, I wonder if she was headed to the scrapper on her final run, with all those soon to be obsolete 40 footers...
Is this a "Randolph Scheme?"

I promises to find my UP loco & B unit that looks like the ATSF one in here soon!
