An archival photo of a Rivarossi Krauss Mauffei pulling its dedicated Dutch Maid consist.
The gear box has since worn out and I am trying to figure out, with the help of AMC Gremlin,
what will make sense to resurrect it.

That's a couple months of dust, but it runs around the track pretty good yet.

I just got an early version (no "9001" on the sides and "4001" on the number boards) Southern Pacific Krauss-Maffei the other day.

It's one of my favorite locos of all time. I have wanted one since I saw the MR review back in the early sixties.

If it's timing out, the picture might be too big. I usually resize to 800x600 pixels in MS Paint, before uploading. It speeds the upload, and speeds up the download when people look at the thread on the forum.

make sure the file mane has no spaces in it. If need be, rename it something simple, like... 1234.jpg or loco.jpg or dougLoco1.jpg

The files are actually uploading to the site OK. They show up in my attachment list and I can open them from there. It's getting them into a post that's the problem. If I click on the link to add an attachment to a post from the upload box, it just sits and nothing happens. I have also tried opening the file and copying the file name between image tags like you can do on other forums but only an image icon appears.

I'll keep trying other things that may reenter my once brilliant mind :D

I'm loving that purple scheme.

I am NOT a computer geek, and my posting, done a couple
years ago, took a lot of help from my teen daughter. Please
email me, PM me, also recently acquired skills for this dinosaur,
and I would be happy to walk you through the process by phone,
by email, whatever you feel best with.

We REALLY want to see your train stuff!!!
