Found this one in an antique store, and immediately fell in love with that cheezy gravel load. Paid like $5 for it, and within the year had another 16 gondolas and one Marx two bay hopper on my grabby paws. Most of them I did not pay more than a buck. Thanks to some TFers and most recently PokemonPrime, was I able to finally fill out my entire gondola consist with matching cheezy plastic loads. Here is my COTW. It is a Lindbergh Flat car with a factory load. A Milwaukee Road flat with a 3 crate load. The load is U.S. Navy crates. This is defiantly a rare bird, and it is like new. frank

Nifty piece, Mustang. That load sort of looks like a nuclear reactor core. I love the kitty, and Navy load is pretty interesting, too.

For anyone confused by what it's riding on, going from a guide to freight trucks from an old MR, those appear to be Bettendorf Heavy-Duty trucks, a rare type of truck typically used on large gondolas and hoppers. It's actually quite an interesting feature, including multiple types of archbar trucks (Normal, Leaf-Spring, Pilcher Trussed, Roller-Bearing, and Tatum Improved), as well as an array of oddities like the Symington-Gould High Speed, the Simplex High Speed, the Allied Full Cushion, Barber Stabilized Pedestal, Taylor Coil Spring, Buckeye Friction Bearing, Barber Side Bearing, and Chrysler Type FR-5-E
sim-al2 Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end 純那 yeah They did a Rock Island volountarily
