From the same shop that gave us the GN430 comes this:

It's a Quaker Oats Company 50' boxcar made by Tyco. Found unboxed but in excellent shape, minus a brakewheel but with all stirrups intact.
It's plain white (I believe it's white paint on a white shell as it does not look "plasticky" on the outside) with simple blue tampos featuring the Quaker logo and some long-gone brand names. I barely remember Puss N' Boots, but Ken-L-Ration escapes me. And no Gatorade, which was actually Quaker's biggest profitmaker for many years!
The odd thing about it is, the underframe features the old stencil-letter TYCO logo, and the shell has open steps. Yet, the graphics on this car have the same roadnumber (10024) and CAPY data as seen on the ubiquitous Tyco BN boxcar of the brownbox mid-70's.
No reporting marks tho, and I'm amused by the duplicate (yet contradictory) capy data on either ends of the car. Another amusing Tyco "oops".
Given the rather plain appearance, I would assume this was part of a set and not a separately-available car.
Anyone know when this was made? I suppose the brands might be a clue...

GinCz: A twin to your Quaker Oats car showed up in an internet auction last week as part of a Tyco Canadian National EMD set. The seller said he'd purchased it as a set but, as it was sold without any boxes, who can say for certain. The car was a dead ringer for yours. The other components were generic mid-'70s Tyco: a second-generation (separately applied number boards, cheaper mechanism) EMD diesel in CN black, white and red and a later-issue CN caboose plus a couple plain jane freighters. The stand-out item (heck, the only reason I noticed the auction at all) was your Quaker Oats car. Just a suggestion, but perhaps this is a north-of-the-border-only promotional, hence its scarcity. | MagAc - Thanks for the heads-up and corroboration. I wish I had seen that auction, it would be nice to have an idea of what to look for, assuming the set was original. Probably would have emailed the seller just to see what they knew. I'm fairly sure it has to be a promo-set car since it's not as pretty as the regular-line jobs (wonder how many cereal boxtops it took to get one?) At least we now know there's more than one...

GinCz: As a fan of the Canadian HO and OO sets I did exchange e-mail with the seller to confirm it was, indeed, purchased as a set. He was the second owner but claimed the item was purchased as a complete set from a non-train buff at a local sale. His story added, I thought, some legitimacy to the idea the Q/O car is part of a limited edition Canadian-issued set but, as he didn't retain any of the paper and couldn't absolutely verify the item I chose to pass. I guess I should have bid just to obtain that nifty Q/O car you scored but am just not too much of a brown box buff. The Canucks really go in for the store-issued sets: those "presidential specials" that show up regularly on eBay; the sensational old Triang/Hornby sets offered thru department stores like Eatons; the sets Cox/Canada offered thru various north-of-the-border stores... the land of snow, caribou and aurora borealis is just prime for HO trainsetting! Got an ID for BOTH tyco quaker cars!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=230062911748&rd=1
Shipping is a rip off, but the seller was kind enough to answer my question.
So we now have our 339F Boxcar and 324D chemical tank accounted for.
