Delightful flat car bridge.
Working on medieval castle, used discarded ceiling tile for a base.Very easy to work with, and the subsurface looks to be right color and texture for stream bed and moat bed.

Clever use of a ceiling tile, Chops! I like the mill and bridge you have positioned behind the castle as well.

That castle is shaping up nicely, Chops. Hopefully the staff are good at keeping smegheaded tourists in line

Slow, but steady, progress on the castle. I poured in a third of a bottle of Woodland Scenics Water into the moat and stream, thinking that would cut it. First coat seemed to absorb into tile material. Second coat just seemed to shrink, so the moat looks wet, but not full of water. Will take another run at it, but just remembered I need to add some reeds to it.
Only after water is set, will I add grass, and a few lilipads. Only Swans I can find are by Prieser. And they come to four to a set with an assortment of ducks and geese I don't particularly want.
The medieval figurines are really hard to paint. My hat is off to those people who sit for hours getting it just right. Using tiny brushes I think I will still have to go back and do quite a bit of touch up. The medieval folks are re-enactors, some of whom will be taking the train to the jousting tournament.

My 14 year old daughter, Bella, picked up a brush and quickly demonstrated she really had a hand for doing this fine detail work. I felt a bit like Tom Sawyer and the white wash...

A new wall by Italeria, I gave it a gray wash. The pasturage is bounded by a low hill and steep cut (not visible at this angle) and the brook. A small retaining pond will go where the white patch is. Going to build up the base with modeling clay as WS epoxy water has a nasty tendency to penetrate plaster cloth.
