That's the royal cypher, ya goit. It stands for Elizabeth Regina, which is Latin for Queen Elizabeth.

quote: Yes, well, moar than jealous, you threw me into a frenzy of buying every Sara Lee I could find. I stopped after five. You also got me into a fine stew with the Jolly Green Giant cars, which also make a cameo appearance, here: https://youtu.be/Nbyqs-hvet4 (The PC sign is from you, Wilde Coupe refurbished the frame of a Model Power for that Tyco Shark, and the layout is El Paso Model Train Club). Nice set of Marvel Comics. I have to draw the line at Sara Lee or I shall go bankrupt.

Here's a Hill Bros. Coffee boxcar by Train Miniature. The prototype ran only in San Francisco between the factory and the piers on the Embarcadero and was never interchanged.

They're not the best detailed cars in the world, but I love the Train Miniature cars. Their outside-braced boxcars are and will be the backbone of my layout. Currently have 2 Outside-Braced Boxcars and 1 Double-Sheathed Wooden Boxcars by them painted in at least the base color for my railroad.

My car of the week is this Lionel HO track cleaning car from 1961. Cost back then was $9.95 - a lot of money in 1961! The cleaning brushes are powered and rotate

Actually, using the inflation calculator here, $9.95 in 1961 was just shy of $80! in today's money. ($79.87 to be exact)

Sounds about right. For comparison, Walthers motorized snow plow is about $60.

Just purchased them, so i am not sure yet, but they look like it. The vintage matches for sure.
