Sart it with the tyco Civil War Gray set. It is a Georgia Central set with a Locomotive
( Tyco General with smoke ), A Ammunition box car, a Horse car, a low side gondola, and a 1860 combine, all painted and lettered for the GCRR. The combine is finished as a Hospital car.

** Thank you Sean for the Locomotive. You got me started collecting the cars to this set. Now they are together again.
frank

** In this view are two newer and different colored horse cars which I think are Mantua Classics by model power.

** This is a on the layout view of the set.

A set of Varney shorty passenger cars,
in green and yellow CNW-ish colours.
One observation is assembled, the other is not.
Plus a baggage and two coaches.

* Nice sets. I had the blue set for awhile. Even has the 2 cannons. Their tyco, the others are Model Power Mantua Classics. Not exactly old yet but nice to have. Yours are nice and clean Almost like you took them out of a box. Mine show there age. I am just glad I got those last 3 cars.

Nice Olde Tymer, Oldtimer.

PGE 33: did you lift that Varney from
a Smithsonian Collection? That's a bit like finding the Dead Sea
Scrolls in mint condition.

No, they weren't, Chops.
Just handed to me, with an Athearn Little Monster for parts (or repair) as the Ebay says,
plus the Varney caboose.
For services rendered.
By the way, how's this for a "set"?

Well Frank, they have been restored. I try to do it to all of the locomotives and cars that I get.
The decals are the original ones that the factory put on tho. The rough part was matching the
original paint.

Ah, I didn't know if you still lived near the plant. Sad to hear BN 188 went away, did anything replace it or did the factory get rid of rail entirely? Maybe it got replaced with one of those shiny new RX500s, or maybe a GE critter. More likely though to just be another SW, but they're still nice little engines.

Don't you guys remember?
I got these at the last local train show in May.
The original owner felt there should have been both B-units and double
enders, so he bashed them.
